Rebuilt the carbs on my 73 65 Johnson. Starts right up and runs like a top, but after running it and turn it off... I notice fuel leaking out of carb's. I did the float adjustment like I should. Turn the carb body upside down and make sure it's parallel and also made sure the float drops only 3/4 of a inch. And my year Johnson doesn't have carb adjustments so I know it not that. Im just completely lost. I took them apart 3 times and cleaned with my 150 psi air compressor... every single orfice. I have no clue why its leaking. I put all everything new except for float because the guy at the marine shop told me that floats hardly ever go bad. Im starting to wonder if I even put the float on right. The dented part of the float is suppose to be pointed towards the the bowl right?

can anyone tell me which way the float goes on? Is the dented part suppose to be towards the carb body or towards the bowl?
