Fuel leaks out of carbs when motor tilted.

I have an 89' OMC 140 (looper) with the plastic carbs (bodies and bowls). I rebuilt the carbs and replaced 3 out of 4 of the bowls because they were warped and leaking and have replaced 1 of the carb bodies for the same reason (new bowl didn't fix it). I finally have the carbs to the point that I can pump the primer and the bowl gaskets do not leak. However, after I had pumped the primer bulb checking for leaks, I tilted my engine all the way up and two of the carbs started pouring out fuel.

So the question - is this still the warped carb problem, could it be something else (valve/seat issue), or is this normal?

just wondering if your carb(s) have drain plugs on the high speed orifice that might be loose?

They do have the drain plugs on the high speed orifice, but they are not loose. The boat has not been out since the carb rebuild, so nothing has really had the opportunity to works it's way loose yet. ;)

It is normal for carbs to dump when you tilt the motor that's why they have air boxes and reclaim hoses

Tip a full glass of water 75 degrees and it will run over. Carb internals are open to the air and fuel will dribble out. The float may not seat either if tilted so pumping the primer bulb just keeps pouring fuel into the carbs.
