If running off a portable Moeller tank, do I have to use the connectors seen in the first pic below to connect to the tank itself? (This line will run to my fuel water separator):

Or can I just use a standard barb and hose?

Re: Fuel Line Connector Question

If you don't mind your hose permanently connected to your tank (which obviously you don't)....you can use whatever connector you want.

Re: Fuel Line Connector Question

Cool, appreciate the info. Yeah, I'm gonna run a portable tank, but it's gonna be a semi-permanent installation topside. I want to be able to access the tank for easier draining and cleaning.

Re: Fuel Line Connector Question

The barb would have to be simpler, cheaper, less likely to mulfunction or leak. If your barb and fuel line are sized correctly, you may get by without even a clamp, just slide it on there. Small tie wraps make good clamps also, just to be on the safe/sure side. Good Luck!
