fuel line disconect

hello I recently purchased a 1988 rude 120 hp, took boat to lake, ran fine, went to disconect fuel line to run carbs dry,and found no quick disconect.should this engine have one? What is sop on running fuel out of carbs? It is built in fuel tank not portable.thanks

Howdy, Fire Engine.<br /><br />I don't recommend running an engine dry if it has multiple carbs. Two cylinders will run dry while the other two are using up the last of their fuel.<br /><br />Worse yet, Never do it to an engine with oil injection. It will load up your carbs with oil.<br /><br />If you are going to store the boat for a while, you can drain the carbs, but if the fuel is stabilized there is no harm in just shutting off the ignition.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

I AGREE WITH JB, AND NO YOUR MOTORS DOSN'T HAVE A QUICK CONNECT FUEL LINE

Thanks guys for the reply,had the dealer disconect vro,will go with premix did it all the years before vro, no sence in changing now,and will add sta-bil. thanks again
