How long after pumping the fuel bulb to "prime" the fuel line, should it stay primed (ie. gas in the line)?

After priming my fuel line and leaving it overnight, the fuel line is totally empty of fuel. I figure it must be draining back into the tank as I don't seem to have a fuel leak. Would this be indicative of a bad fuel line bulb or an air leak somewhere in the fuel system?

I seem to recall on previous boats I've owned that the fuel line bulb may go a little soft over a day or two, but not totally empty.

Thanks,

Brew

I don't think you have anything to worry about, primer bulbs, at least in my experience, always go soft again after 24hrs. or so. I usually prime mine up every time I go out even if I just went out the day before. They are only used to prime up the carb bowls before starting. I don't think you have any kind of leak. Good Luck.
