Fuel line problems

So I have an annual recurring problem on my hands. It seems I have to replace the fuel adapter (the plastic female adapter) on my hose every year. The problem is with the rubber O-ring inside the adpaters. It seems that the O-ring that keeps the seal for the suction of the fuel line rots or cracks by the end of the fishing season...thus resulting in sucking air and loss of fuel to the carbs/engine. The brass male connector is clean without any knicks or dings in it so I don't know what is causing the problem. I have had fuel lines last 10 years before and it seems to be happening just these last few years.

So here is my question. Is there a way to just replace the rubber o-ring in there so I don't have to keep buying new adapters every year for my outboard and kicker motor? I'd rather spend a few quarters then $10 to replace this little buggers.

Is it as simple as pulling them out with needle nose and shoving a new one in there?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Fuel line problems

Those o-rings are sold in bags of 5 by dealers if nor mistaken. Just pry it out with a small screw driver and install the new, but be careful not popping out the yellow(?) plastic top of the connector.

Haffiman is right on. Part number: 334913. Most Bombardier dealers stock this part. As mentioned, worst part is trying to get the old one out.
