fuel line quick disconnect

ive got an 84 merc 150 black max... and when i bought it the male and female quick disconect would not stay together and i could not get it to stay together long enough to get back to the trailor so i just by-passed it...

Now i have looked everywhere online to find the exact one but i have had no luck... mine bolts onto the engine... the only ones i have found do not bolt on does anyone know a part number.. or if they still sell this part...

Am i ok to run with it just bypassed... id really like to fix it right like its supposed to be if possible.....

Usually the male part is ok its the oring internall that bad, see link below (parts47,48,49) and you can get a new female at a marine store. Do not get the plastic type only the aluminum ones. You can order the repair parts thru a dealer or boats.net....

the part that is broke on my engine is bolted to the engine.... theres like a black stick that is supposed to be in it and its broke out... and was stuck in the male end...all of the male ends i have found do not bolt on ... the one on my engine has two bolt holes... like the one pictured there... i looked on iboats and could not find the right now... thanks for the help and the diagram
