Fuel Line Replacement

I need to replace the plastic(rubber?) fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb on my 87 OMC Cobra 3.0L. The old line is yellow, running around the front of the engine and over the front of the valve cover and seems to be a hard plastic, but I'm thinking that it used to be more flexible. Can I use flexible rubber tubing, or is this some type of plastic tube? I hate to put the wrong line in here and have it melt. Thanks for the help everbody!

Re: Fuel Line Replacement

Okay, Here's what I've found at the Auto Parts Store and Home Depot: Vinyl Tubing, Silicone Tubing, Clear Rubber Tubing, and opaque plastic tubing (like you would use for an icemaker), which one of these will hold up the best in this application? Thanks again for all of the help.

I would look for clear, fuel compatible tubing. This is you're sight tube to determine if the fuel pump diaghram has ruptured.
