Fuel line size

2002 Trophy 1802. Mercury 125hp ser# ot509164


I'm installing a Racor fuel separator. The fuel line coming out of the boat appears to be 5/16". Does anyone no for sure? I tried measuring the id of the hose but I'm not sure if it was a little stretched from being on the fitting. Sorry for the stupid question.

Measure the fitting, not the hose. It could be either.

I prefer to use a minimum size hose of 3/8", particularly for anything over about 100hp. Fuel hose is cheap, powerheads ain't!
