I have high rpm problems that I have posted about in the past. During one of the diagnosis trials that was checking the fuel line, I noticed that the line was clear and I could easily blow back into the fuel tank. I have since read in other related posts that there is supposed to be a back check valve somewhere? Also the 50 gal. tank is below the floor with no access to the fuel line! does anyone know how to get to this spot? This one of the last parts that I have not been able to cancel out with my problems.

---whishing I had never sold my old boat----

Thanks for the help

I don't think a lot of small boats have an anti-siphon valve..or it might be an American reg. USCG thing too... my canadian built 83 Tempest doesn't have one.

I think it is a USCG requirement for all inboard premanently mounted tanks. If your tank is then it most likely should have one. I am not 100% and for sure dont know about Canada regs but I doubt a 50 gal tank is portable.

ottawamerc....is your Tempest a 20 footer? I had a 1984 20' Tempest with a 50 gal tank that was right between the seats under the floor. There was an access panel in the floor between the seats just before the floor dropped down to go into the cuddy. Damn thing had abput 50 screws in it but the hose connections and the sender were there.
