fuel line test

bought a vac/press gauge to test my 200hp evinrude fuel system ( I think I have a leak ) . What should the proper readings be when connected to the fuel line? Help! :eek:

Tux 88,<br />Fuel pressure between fuel pump and carb should be 2 1/2 - 6 psi @ wfo.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

If you are tee'd into the fuel line from tank to engine, you will read a vacuum... 0 - 5"hg is the norm. If you are troubleshooting an air leak, replace the hose from the fuel pump to the quick coupler with a piece of clear vinyl fuel line. If any bubbles are visible when running, you have a leak from the quick coupler to the tank. As Hooty says, you should have 2lbs+ between the fuel pump and carb when running WOT on the lake...
