fuel line w/bulb run length

How far can I run (in feet) the typical fuel line with primer bulb, from engine fuel intake fitting to tank fitting....before any "flow" or fuel suction issues might arise, if any.

I am looking at about an 8' run with the hose.

New Yamaha 4 stroke engine to a Moeller remote tank.

Eight feet should not be a problem.

You really need a water seperating fuel filter in there somewhere.

Roger that.......

Is there such a thing as a stainless filter mount?
I run 100% of the time in salt.....
Painted units would be a pile of rust in no time.

Edit: found a SS unit......Sierra......thanks

The ss mount will still rust. The composite mount will not.

Also be aware that some small 4 stroke motors may not run correctly with an inline filter. A 90 Merc 4s is one and it is a Yamaha.
