Fuel line

I have a 58 or 59 Johnson 50hp. At some point someone put a 75hp motor but kept everything else the same. My question is what size is the fuel line. Is it 3/8 or 5/16

5/16 is all that is necessary. 3/8 if for the 6 and 8 cylinders.

Is the connector the same for both the 3/8 and 5/16 at the fuel tank and where it connects at the motor. The reason i ask is there are so many fuel hoses out there i don' want to order the wrong one

you are best just to buy a 5/16 johnson/evinrude oem fuel assembly, comes complete, and together.
