fuel line

i want to replace the fuel line and primer bulb in my open aluminum boat is there special fuel line for this application or can i use regular goodyear fuel line the line lays in the sun year round :eek: someone told me i need coast guard approved fuel line? why would this line be different than regular fuel line?
