I'm rebuilding my 1999 7.4L MPI and noticed that the two braided fuel lines from the pump to the water seperator has a kink in it. I can squeeze the kinked area at the creases and get them out however I can feel where it bends very easily there. Two questions.

Should these be replaced?

If so is there a safe alternative to the OE hoses? They are expensive at $120 and $99.

Thanks.

Absolutely

Have no idea, never looked for one. Just stuck with the known good OEM parts.
