I hadn’t noticed the sticker on the top of the motor and I was planning on the 1:24 ratio which is 1/3 pint per gallon and accords with one of the stickers. This is 5.3 oz of oil per gallon. But is it possible that this sticker says 2/3?
Then I took note of the other sticker which says 1 pint per 6 gallons (I think... this one is sort of beat up). That’s 2.6 oz per gallon which is reflective of a 1:50 mix.
Whcih should I use? I bought the motor with fuel in it, and it is running fine, but I understand that, though it’s rare, we do need to add gas every once in a while. I’m at the lake right now about to go out on our maiden voyage and I have two gallons of gas, a quart of motor oil, and a measuring device. I just need to know what to do? And if I get it wrong, which direction better to go wrong - too much oil or not enough.
