Been working on an 86' Mercury Marine Force 35hp and wanted to know where I might be able to find out about the gas/oil ratio for this engine. This engine is interesting. Apparently 1984-1986 Mercury Marine made the Force engine. 78'-84 & 87-91 were Force but this particular model is very difficult to find parts for as well. I am looking for a CD module for this engine and they are all obsolete, I found some used one's on ebay. Do you know of any conversion kits that I can install for the c-d module so that I can incorporate a more modern....say 90' model electronics. Model number 357F6A

First, a little history.
West Bend sold their motor line to Chrysler in the 60's.
Chrysler went bankrupt in 1984 and the courts ordered the outboard division be sold off.
US Marine bought them and owned them from 1984 until late in 1989.
In late 1989, Mercury bought the Force line.

So, your 1986 model is all US Marine.

The fuel mix ratio is 50:1
THat is 2.6 ounces of oil per gallon of gas.
Or 16 ounces of oil for 6 gallons of gas.

Mercury lists the cd part number as 300-888789.

CDI Electronics lists this one as the aftermarket replacement, sold right here on iboats..
