Is 24:1 too rich for my 69 6hp? I use that for my 1959 5.5 and would not want to hastle with changing gas tanks when changing over motors.

It will run, but foul plugs especially at idle/troll, may cause performance problems, and excessive carbon build up in the rings and exhaust ports. Why not just get another gas tank dedicated to 50:1?

Liz, It will work just fine. if it works in the older motor, it will work in the newer motor.
