Fuel, oil, and seafoam mix question

I know this could be a loaded question but here it goes anyway:

The outboard in question is a 1955 Johnson 5.5 with a 4 gallon pressure tank.

At a 24:1 mix, that would be 4 gallons of fuel, 22 ounces of TCW-3 oil, plus I always ad seafoam, the recommendation is 2 ounces per gallon on the seafoam, so that would be 8 ounces of seafoam to this 4 gallon mix.

There?s 128 ounces in a gallon,

Here we?re taking 4 gallons of fuel (512 ounces), and adding almost a quart (30 ounces) of additive to give us that 24:1 ratio.

Isn?t adding close to a quart of additive to a 4 gallon mix diluting it pretty good?

In a case where your adding two stroke oil, plus seafoam, should you be upping the fuel quantity just a little bit? Instead of 4 gallons, up the fuel portion to maybe 4 gallons and a pint? to offset the added extra quart of seafoam/oil mix your adding.

It seems to me that by adding so much additive to the fuel, you?re diminishing the fire power that 4 gallons of fuel is capable of producing.

Or, am I being just a tad bit to fussy about my fuel oil mix?

you are being a tad bit too fussy...you do not need to add oil to make up for sea foam, the sea foam actually has some lubricating qualities as well. 2 oz per gallon of fuel is fine unless you are trying to decarb your motor.

I figured I was being a little on the fussy side when it came to the fuel/oil/seafoam mix, I just thought I'd ask what others opinions were, thanks.

Actually, it's the oil and Seafoam that are getting diluted....:D;)
