That engine has float type carbs'. If it's in the tilt position on the trailer, some leakage is normal. Just disconnect the fuel hose when trailering.

In this case, you will have to clean, and install carb kits'.

not to over simplify, check every fuel line, thats an enormous amout of leak.if you have a portable tank ,disconnect when not in use,if you have a built in tank, its always a good idea to have a water seperator, you can put a shut off valve in the line at filter, where exactly do you see it leaking from,is it out of the prop,or up high under the cown, under the cowl would leave me to think its a leak up top in powerhead area,it is possible your floats are passing, perhaps your tank is not venting well and pressure relieves through the carbs ,or elsewhere, another possibility is the fuel pump diaphram is leaking, but usually yu have performance trouble with that, the simple fix is a valve

its draining down to the prop but coming from below the carberator yeah when i popped the top on the gas tank it really sucked air i checked the lines but i wouldnt think that is the problem because there is no performance issues but i dont know much about marine engines

thats what im thinking,if your tank sucks air that means its not venting and likely pressurizing with temp, the pressure on the floats is causing it to pass, first ,you can try leaving cap loose, that should vent it,are we talking built in tanks or portable,if built in,change the vent,if portable, you need a new cap
