fuel/oil mix on 1959 johnson 10 horse

I have a 1959 johnson 10 horse model QD-20.The gas can that came with the motor says to mix 1 qt. oil with six gallons of gas. But it also says or mix one half pint of oil per gallon of gas.What is the correct fuel/oil mix for this engine?

go with 25 to 1 tcw3 oil.... some here will say to use 50 to 1, but i like to double it to be on the safe side. I would also use Penzoil synthetic mix

Im with sloopy stay away from 50:1.

The Johnson manual says 24:1, which is 1 qt TCW-3 oil to 6 gallons unleaded regular gas.
