need to know fuel-oil ratio for 5.5 h.p. 1961 evinrude.have heard 64&newer 50:1 63&older 24:1,any truth to this?

Yup, '64 is the year they went to 50:1. The '61 engine employs needle roller bearings, by the way. That was the first year for them in the 5.5.
