Hi, I need to know the fuel oil mixing ration for a 1985 30hp Johnson power head. It is mounted on a 1984 25hp Evinrude housing. I obtained the model years from the model numbers on the transom clamp and on the powerhead itself. I just bought this motor and I have searched everywhere I know for this ratio. Yes, I have done a search on this forum. I think it is probably 50:1. Correct?
Thanks for your help.
Johnny

Yes, 50:1 87 octane gas to TC-W3 rated outboard oil. Sometime around there OMC was recomending 100:1 for their engines. They later switched their recomendation back to 50:1 when outboards started to fail. So if you see that somewhere, ignore it.

Thanks for your reply. I have already seen that 100:1 in one of my searches. But it didn't seem correct. I thought 50:1 would be right. Thanks for the info.
