Fuel/oil ratio for 1957 Evinrude 15HP?

Anyone know? I've seen 50:1 is common for Evinrude's in general, but wonder if it might be lower for this older model. The labeling on the engine cover has worn off. --Jon

Should be 24:1 on an engine that age. One quart of tw3 two cycle oil to 6 gallon of 87 octane gas.<br /><br />Good luck!

There's a '56 15hp, but in '57 it was an 18hp. Got a model number? Check the transom bracket for a tag with it.
