Hi there,

I have a 1967 Johnson 80hp (electromatic), I would like to know if anyone can tell me what the fuel/oil mixture should be. And I have written before about not being able to get a socket to fit into the spark plug wells. Any pointers or should I just have a socket shaved down to fit?

Re: Fuel/Oil

Thanks for the mix info. I can reach them okay, it's just that the socket walls are too thick to fit into the plug areas. I have tried a few types, including the cheap ones with no luck. And of course if I go down in size, it will fit in the opening ,but not the plug. So I think I'm at a point of reducing the thickness of the walls of the sockets that I have by grinding them down with a wheel and giving it a try.
What are the thoughts on this?
The guy that I bought it from could'nt quite find the socket that he used! That makes me wonder if they are the correct ones now !
