My 83 150 HP mercury has been having some trouble the engine sit for a couple seasons i have rebuilt the carbs, replaced the stator, replaced spark plugs, cleaned fuel tank and added fresh fuel/oil mix 50:1 mix. The engine wants to fall on its face when i accelarate if i barley accelarate about a 1/4 way it will slowly pick up and go but it takes awhile when its hooked up to the water muffs out of water it rev up fine not a real good throttle responce to it, I was going to check the timing on it and i noticed fuel on 5 of the plugs i know on a 4 stroke this is a bad thing but im not real sure on a 2-sroke any advice would be grate

Re: Fuel on plugs

Take out all the "vent jets" They are redundant and can lean her out... do a search for Clams linc and sync post...<br />Jon
