i started my 1992 - 200hp yamaha and fuel began pouring out of the bottom 2 carb's. What would cause that? And what is the fix. Carb's were just rebuilt in september. Thanks for any help.

my mariner done that once and it was a needle in the carb sticking, not sure if yours is the same problem though, i took a long 1/4 extension and a hammer and lightly tapped the side of the carb and it stopped, hope this might help

The float is what limits the amount of fuel getting to the carb. Like it was said, your float is probably stuck open and won't shut off when the bowl is full.

Re: Fuel pouring from carb's

You you suggested "pouring out," and I think float stuck. Carbs will seep fuel...especially after being tilted up...but this is different than pouring out. Before you do anything...how does the motor run?? A motor will not run well with a stuck float...let alone two.

Being that you said the "bottom two," it's kinda unlikely that two carb floats at the exact same time are causing the problem...again, how does the motor run?

My guess would be that it is the top one on the bottom 2 and it looks like it is both.
