Ok, my Granddad just gave me his Mckee Craft with a 40hp yamaha tlra motor. This motor is less than 5 years old and has not been used much at all. It set up for more than a year. It cranked and idled easily but would not rev up. Lots of fuel is leaking out of the bottom carb. What can cause this? The motor ran like a champ the last time it was used.

The carbs need to be rebuilt as the inlet needle and seat and/or float have stuck open allowing excess fuel into the carb.

Great motor ,have one on my flats boat. Its the C40 premix model though, carbs just need cleaning sounds like float and needle valve on lower carb.
