Hey guys I was able to get back to the lake last weekend and I am happy to be reporting better news.. The boat ran very well for the first time since the restore and I was pleased.

I still had partly the same problem though as last time.. The boat was hard starting. I pumped the primer and it took a little effort to start. Once running, I had good luck keeping it this way for about 5 miles up the lake.. I was close to WOT running about 28mph-32mph GPS. Then it happened.. She bogged down to almost nothing and died. :( This was WAAY better than before where I couldn't get on plane and Meg had to manually pump the primer to keep it running.

I got it started again and kept going. It did this a few times during the day until we went home.

I have rebuilt the fuel pump but I did not change the check valves because they didn't look bad. I have a manual and I can do most things myself. Where should I look next?

Our most common problem this spring has been water in the gas that has sat over winter.
