Well i ran my 1978 seaking clintonk7516107 model xtv50507 it kept stalling then ran rough with choke out any ideas where i can get a carb kit anyone ???thanks
before I started throwing money at it, I would pull the carb off and and check the reeds, those old clintons have a track record for sucking up a reed now and then espesially the plastic version I think...seems we went through this sevral times last year,
then make sure the carb hasn't sucked up some gunk from the fuel tank or lines, the ethanol fuels will clean the system real good and it will all end up at the carb and in the jets ( wich is kind of where I'm putting my money), if its none of that then lets look for a carb kit/ needle valve & seat, but if that was bad you should have flooding or a no fuel situation, not so much just rough running with the the choke closed. http://forums.iboats.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71790&d=1288469860 http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=447570&highlight=clinton+reed+valve
thanks mrcrabs i checked the reeds they seem ok im going to put another carb on this morning i have another 1979 i bought for spares but i still need to find a new carb kit i think any ideas where i can buy one ??? thanks
