Since buying my boat (1985 75 hp. 3 cyl evenrude) I have been having quite a time. One time I take to lake and runs ok altho kinda intermitent. I have decarboned and that seemed to help for awhile but now I think I am having carb problems. two of my carbs dont have any gas in the bowl when I pull the drain screw in the front. This happened once before when only one cly quit and I removed and cleaned needle the best I could and it worked for awile. Last nite we took to the lake and it wouldn't even start. When you pushed the key for the primer then it would start and quit as soon as you released primer. I am obviously getting gas to the carbs. Now two of the carbs don't have gas in them. One of them is the one that I recently cleased. My question is this===Can I possibly take carbs apart and clean or am I just going to have to rebuild. Or prehaps there is another problem I havent thougnt of. If anyone could help it would be appreciated.

You will need to rebuild the carbs but it is very easy to do.
A rebuild is just new needle, seat, float, and gaskets.
A link and sync maybe required after.
When you take them off make sure that you check the vent to the bowls.
The bowls must vent in order to let the gas in.

I have a 70hp same motor different carbs.

Good Luck
