I have a 2001 Volvo Penta GM 5.0, V-8, GL-SX engine and need to replace the fuel pump. The Volvo pump (P/N 3858261) runs nearly $200.00 however, the Airtex 110-E11004 appears to be the same and is only $116.00. Does anyone know if these two are interchangable? Any suggestions on what/where to go for the best pump deals? The boat runs good most of the day but occasionally when I am getting on plane, it sputters out as if fuel starved. I replaced plugs, cap, rotor, fuel pump and have fresh gas. If I let it sit for 5-10 minutes she will run again. Could the pump be failing? Any advice from you guys is apprecaited..
