Fuel Pump ( HOW MANY)

Does a johnson 150 ocean runner have two fuel pumps? Im getting conflicting answers.. Thanks.

'78-'83 used two fuel pumps. Newer had VRO/OMS single high capacity fuel/oil pumps.

hi i have a 1996 . it sounds like i have a fuel pump out but this mechanic said i have two fuel pumps and that maybe the low pressure pump is out.... i dont know....

An Oceanrunner 150 has only one fuel pump to run the motor' it is called an OMS pump. Some folks erroneaously call it a "VRO".

On top of the vapor separator tank there is a fuel pump looking unit but it is used only as a vapor pump to purge fumes to the air box.
