I have a 1986 evinrude 40hp VRO,

When I pump the primer on the fuel line I get fuel leaking out of the rear of the fuel pump.

I thought it could be a gasket on the pump, but the pump is plastic and I am not sure if it is serviceable

Should I replace this or is it OK.Thanks

i believe the chief has it right , simple fix to get you back in the water .if you remove to filter housing screw during the install be careful lto line the gasket back up carfully or it will leak like a faucet.

So the Round housing with the slotted screw is the filter on it? Will I need to relocate my in line bowl style filter,,,also is there any wiring to customize or would this just plug in to existing harness. If you have a step by step link that you could post it would be great. Thanks

Any Idea of the mix ratio for this motor? 40:1 ?
