Fuel pump question

I have a '65, 9.5 HP Seahorse, model MQ11. I need a replacement fuel pump. The book calls for part #382224, but I remember seeing a post somewhere in these threads that a 397274 or after market equivalent would work. Any thoughts?
The 397274 is about half the price.

Parts number on those fuel pumps changed from year to year. 304089 should work for yours however.
