i took my fuel pump apart to clean it an i lost the little diaphram spring. so i am looking for a kit. i am having a REALLY hard time finding one for my 1976 25HP evinrude. i found a sierra kit that most websites say thru 15 hp and acouple other websites say thru 25hp....same part # . can anyone help me find the right kit? If you have the original pump on your '76, there is no repair kit listed for it. The 18-7823 (here at iboats) MIGHT have some parts you can use, but you have to understand that there were several look-alike pumps that were different inside. It is sort of a chance you are going to have to take, or buy a new pump. It seems that 18-7823 has springs in it, but none of the others do.
The original pump for your motor was part number 386834, replaced by 388685, about 80 bucks from a dealer. An 18-7350 (iboats) might fit it but I'm not promising anything. If it will physically fit, it will work.
