ok so i have a 1975 johnson 115 on my 16ft ski boat and my mechanical fuel pump started to go out so i put on an electric 12volt fuel pump (Carter fuel pump) as a last minute thing and the boat ran good the last 2 times i took it out with the carter fuel pump then i bought a new carter fuel pump because is stoled it off somthing else i had laying around. so i installed the new fuel pump mounted it wired in a switch bypassed the mechanical fuel pump and took it out again today but now its almost like im ether getting too much fuel or not enough or it choked is starts to sputer only on medium to full throttle i checked to make sure i was getting fuel i even hooked back up the mechanical fuel pump because it still worked for a bit until the bowl on the carb would drain. and still no change all the spark plugs have spark and the throttle advance is working i dont know were to go from here any ideas thanks bruce.
