Hi there,

Was doing some work on an old 1975 15hp Jonson motor. Got it up and running and had an issue with the fuel pump. Got a kit and rebuilt it. In the meantime the mounting screws for the pump have vanished. Anyone know what thread size etc these might be.

Many thanks

Same as the two screws holding the pump together, but about 3/8" (?) longer. Use a small clamp to hold the pump together, and carefully take out one of the screws. Use a finishing nail and a magic marker to measure the depth of the mounting hole, and add that to the length of the screw from the pump. Match the screw at a hardware store, and buy a couple in the right length for use as mounting screws.

[Edit. Get a couple slightly shorter than the length you measured -- don't want it to bottom out as you want to compress the mounting gasket.]

Thank you. That will work. I was out and about and hoped I could just drop in and grab something. If no one knows off hand I’ll have to wait till I’m back with the motor and do as you have suggested.

cheers
