I just rebuilt the carbs in my '95 90HP and I was seeing fuel drain from the bottom two carbs immediately after turning off the key. I was also seeing fuel drain from the top carb after the motor was off for about 10 seconds.
I was wondering if I was having a problem with the fuel pump so I checked the primer bulb which was still hard. I did not see any fuel coming from any of the carbs, but when I disconnected the hose coming from the top carb bowl to the choke, I had alot of fuel leak out. I then squeezed the primer bulb and fuel squirted out the hose from the top carb bowl. Is this supposed to happen? I was thinking that I should not get any fuel past the fuel pump by simply squeezing the primer bulb, but I did today. I just ordered a new fuel pump kit but I would still like to know how to test the fuel pump.
Thanks.
