Fuel Pump Upgrade Question

My 86 Johnny 150 is a VRO system. It already had the oil injection removed so I pre-mix. I may have to replace the Fuel Pump but the VRO one is a bit $high$ at the local shop. I was told I could go to a manual one but the guy didn't know which fuel pump to use. He said he knows it can and has been done many times but unsure of a part # for the new pump. Has anyone done this to theirs and if so, what fuel pump did you use. Were there any problems? If not, is there such a creature as a VRO fuel pump rebuild kit available?

If the oil injection part of the system has been disabled but the fuel side is working ok, premix and continue to run it. No harm in that and no need to go to the manual pump -- you already have one.
