Hello,
Just a quick question for you all. I just purchased a 1972 9.9 evinrude. I can get it to start fairly easily (2 or 3 pulls), but it will only run for about a minute or so and then dies. I've noticed that if, right as it starts to die, I squeeze the primer bulb from the gas tank, the engine keeps running fine. Do you think it's a possible fuel pump problem?
