As you can read on my other threads. I have a 1971 55HP Chrysler. I cleaned under flywheel, Put alittle grease around breaker plate, because tower was sticking. Rebuilt carb, again. Changed fuel pump diaphragm, gasket and the sediment bowl gasket. Now engine won't start. It ran before all this. I checked the flywheel key and the plug wires and both are fine. I cleaned fuel pump, by removing top plate and spraying WD-40 in it. I wiped good. Put new diaphragm and gasket. Could it be the WD-40 causing it not to start. Maybe damaging something. My parts manual show diaphram above the gasket, but everyone says it goes under gasket. Could this be the problem? When I removed the gasket was on top and bottom of diapragm. Any suggestion on what could be the problem it no longer starts. As I said I checked wires, spark, flywheel key, carb and I am lost Thanks
