fuel requirements

I have a 1989 mariner 90 horse. Would some one be kind enough to inform me to the correct fuel octane requirement for this motor. I live in Oklahoma and only use it when the temp is above 50 degrees.

I would use regular 87 octane in that motor. Any higher is a waste and may promote carbon build-up, as it actually burns cooler than 87.
