Hello All,
I'm getting a fuel restriction alarm when going wide open. New water separator was installed and inline fuel filter on the motor. In addtion the fuel line to the primer under the deck was replaced this yr which is what is different.
I took the water separator out of the equation and connected and external tank. Replaced primer bulb as well. I noticed i would lose power after running wide open for 30 seconds or so and I would back down right away to not cause issues but the alarm didn't go off. The alarm is part of the wiring harness correct? Not sure why i didn't get the alarm. the only power going to the tank is for the fuel gauge so the alarm must be part of the harness to the motor.
My next thing is to check the filter and diaphragms on the fuel pump which was replaced 2 seasons ago along with the carbs getting cleaned.
Any thoughts on all this?
thanks
