Fuel running back out of the carbs?

Everytime I run my 135 evinrude and load the boat up on the trailer and tilt the motor up I get alittle bit of fuel running out of the carbs and it leaks out the cowl of the motor. It dosen't effect the running of the boat except it justs makes the transom greasy. I've pulled the cover off the carbs and when you kill the motor you can see the gas running back out of the venturies.
Anybody have any suggestions?
BTW: It's a 1977 135 Evinrude
Thanks in advance:
Jason

I had something to say then forgot it. This is a spacer so when I remember I will come back and edit it so it says it :) if my brain would turn on I could anser it, it is sorta normal, depending on how you are running it, I think it is the fuel recerculator clugging up so gas over flows (see brain turned on) rebuld the Grank Case, and that should fix it :)

Sloopy, What the h*** kind of answer is that? Have you ever heard the saying that if you have nothing to say, it's best to keep it to yourself?
Jason, I would say a little bit leaking is normal but it shouldn't be so much it runs out the cowl like you described.

Rich

Rebuild Carbs first and see how it goes! I know it's running good, but something is amiss internally. Pay particular to the float levels when you rebuild! That's where I would start, especially on a 77' Model! Good Luck,

PS:iRich is right. A little leaking is normal!

Oh yes, Ignore sloopys post, as usual!!!!!!!
