Have 1995 Gregor Seahawk g4. In process of fixing fuel sending unit, or fuel gauge. 3 wires coming off top of sender. 2 black, 1 pink. One of the black ones runs from one of a mounting screw on the top of the sender to a clamp on the fuel fill hose. Anyone know what that wire is for? The other blk one goes to batt ground. Thanks in advance....Bill

The blacks are both to keep it grounded to the battery and not allow the development of a static charge. Also to provide a ground for the tank sender so the gauge works correctly

Static charge when filling a tank can make a boom, we don't like things that go boom

Thanks All Dodge... You're right about the boat boom. The only boom I like is when I touch off a round from my Freedom Arms 454 Casull. Ha
