Greetings, folks. Since most of the country is switching or has already switched to ethanol blended fuel I was wondering which fuel stabilizers on the market have NO alcohol in them. It seems to me that adding fuel stabilizers with alcohol (most all words in the ingredients ending in OL are alcohol) would compound the effects of alcohol in fuel mainly having the fuel in your tank absorbing MORE water. The only products I found that do not contain alcohol are Stabil Marine and Startron Fuel Additive. And, yes, the famous Seafoam has alcohol in it. All the major engine companies fuel stabilizers and fuel conditioners/tune ups have alcohol in them.
My opinion is that if you add fuel stabilizers with alcohol you are compounding the affects of alcohol (water absorbing). I do use Seafoam to decarbon my engine but I will not be putting it in my tank to stabilize it.
