hello, i am having a problem with start up, johnson 110 vro disconnent, motor rebuilt 2 yrs ago. first start-up motor runs for a while then dies out. replaced water seperater motor then ran fine all day, next day same thing motor starts then dies out prime bulb its soft motor runs smooth. i dissconect water seperator put end of hose into gas tank motor runs fine! i reconnect water filter then start motor its runs fine today! motor will not run with filter seperater at first start of day seems it needs that direct connect to tank at first then its fine all day, changed filter with new one yesterday! could fuel pump be weak? but once motor is primed with gas its like a clock! any insites as to what is the problem, thanks guys

Bet you primer bulb is between the filter & motor. Sounds like the fuel in the filter is draining back into the tank at the end of the day. If so put the filter between the bulb and tank. The bulb has a valve that should not allow the fuel to return to the tank.

Pump is OK. Otherwise it would not draw the bulb into a vacuum. Once again, I'm with SoLittle on the bulb theory. A soft bulb can only happen between the tank and the engine. Remove the water/Seporator and see what happens. Could be a bad water seporator!...<br /><br />EDIT: put new bulb on. They have been known to be bad right out of the factory...Try a 6 gallon portable tank with a new line and bulb and see what happens...

thanks for reply i will try a new bulb, wierd how all of a sudden this starts to act up, and like i said once the motor is running its runs flawless. thanks again guys

well i put on new prime bulb and she started right up, did not stall out seems that was the problem the new one is much stiffer than the old one, thanks for all your help!
