First post 62 yr old newbe with equally old projects.
I noted when resurfacing my whizzer motor bike that auto paint gets eaten by modern gas even after applying the clear coat. Any reccomendations to prevent this? Will the plastic tank relining Kreem products Stand up to 2cycle oil gas mix used for outboards? I have really enjoyed the collective experience and expertise of the many posts you have written and shared. I thank all of you for sharing your joy of this hobbie. Dom P.s. My new challenges are a 1946 5 hp and a 1955 5hp Johnson Both tanks need to be made spiffy. thanks for your help.

Re: fuel storage tank questions?

Ahoy, Dom.

Welcome to iboats, young'un. :)

Don't know what to tell you about the paint. Have spilled gas on many a car and never hurt the paint unless it was fresh and not fully cured.

I think the Kreem stuff can handle premixed fuel, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. :)
