Fuel system check list?

Decided against rebuilding 2 carbs on 89 johnson 110 myself,just don't have the time right now to do it.So i'm having boat mechanic do it,while he's here i just want make sure everything from gas tank to motor is all checked and right so i have good clean gas flow through system just need to know what other things to have him check while its all apart,filter,hoses etc.Also just kind of wonder what other boat mecanics get in your area,here anywhere from $60.00 to $90.00 $$ per hour....Ouchhhh

The fella that does (some) of my work charges by the job.
This season - $200 for lower mounts on a Merc 35 (this turned out to be a hateful job), $500 for a bellows kit in a Cobra O/D. He's an old friend and always does extras. e.g. - replaced broken carb linkage and adjusted motor-O/D alignment, troubleshot starting issue while he had the latter. He normally charges $800 for a bellows job.
